Last week, following an intentional eight month performance break, I was warmly welcomed back by an appreciative SOLD OUT audience at the gorgeous Roedde House Museum for an intimate and fun Valentine’s Concert.

CLOUD’S ILLUSIONS

“Cloud’s Illusions” honours Canadian poet, songwriter and musician Joni Mitchell’s recent 75th birthday that will take place at Frankie’s Jazz Club”, Sunday, March 31. We will explore many beloved Joni Mitchell classics featuring several new arrangements by Jeremy Siskind, Dan Reynolds and Daryl Jahnke.

In 2004, to commemorate Joni’s 60th Birthday, I debuted the “Joni Mitchell Retrospective” to three sold out houses at Cory Weed’s Jazz Cellar. Fifteen years later, I am delighted to present “Cloud’s Illusions” through Vancouver Coastal Jazz.

SPRING JAZZ BENEFIT!

It’s time! After several years, I am super excited to sing for my Bowen community at the Spring Jazz Benefit Concert on Saturday April 20th. Located at the new Cove Commons on Bowen Island at 7:30 PM, this special event is sponsored by the Bowen Island Arts Council. ALL proceeds generated will be going towards the Community Centre Project. Joining me will be an amazing band that includes: Bill Sample – piano, Laurence Mollerup – bass, Buff Allen- drums and Tim Porter – guitar. The early bird price is $35.00 or $40.00 at the door. On a super cool harmonic note, I’m pleased to share that I’ve expanded my creative life even further. I now offer professional coaching services as a Certified Holistic Health and Life Coach. I’m just loving this meaningful and fulfilling work too! If you are curious as to what the heck that means or would like to know more, drop me a line!

I’m looking forward to singing with my great band this Sunday April 8th at Frankie’s Jazz Club and very excited to debut a new personal anthem, “I Won’t Give In”! This was written for me by my dear friend and gifted International Jazz singer Nancy Harms and her producer Arne Fogel. This timing is so perfect as I’ll be celebrating my 63rd Birthday on April 17th! How cool is that?! Nancy’s song was inspired by many deep sharings together over the last few years. It is part of a collection of songs she’s written about other strong women that will be on her upcoming album project. Join us for what promises to be a super fun and heart felt evening. NEW! Certified Health Coach!

This April, 2018 I am also exceedingly grateful to celebrate anniversaries of new beginnings and completions. The brand-new beginnings include my becoming a Certified Health Coach with the Health Coach Institute of America! I love channeling my life experience to help and inspire others to help themselves. I’ll share more on this next month.

The completion celebrations are equally meaningful to me and they include my six-year anniversary on April 16, 2012 when I began an arduous, complex dental jawbone reconstruction. Also, one year ago on April 30th I received a severe concussion along with a broken collarbone and shoulder as a result of a freak fall. I am so fortunate to have tremendous support from my amazing health practitioners, along with a legion of caring friends, family, healers and guardian angels galore! I deeply appreciate all your support.

Now back to the new beginnings, I still find it somewhat miraculous that I’ve now regained my good health. Yet I wanted to take it to an even higher level. Enter HCI. Becoming a health coach has been a vision of mine for many years. The best thing I ever did was to enroll in the Health Coach Institute of America training Program (HCI) as it has helped more than I can say. I’ve learned so much about liberating my own self-sabotage patterns and also have strengthened my understanding of how to help others create lasting change in their lives.

March Re-cap!

Thank you for coming out and helping Vancouver women in need for the “Strong Women, Strong Music” concert last month! It was a highlight in our rainy March with a packed, vibrant house full of love that continued with the other two sold out performances! It is always a pleasure connecting with you in this way, thanks for tuning in. Enjoy this special season and I look forward to seeing some of you this Sunday!
