Newsletter 16 – Dixon Divas Recap
I was honoured to be part of last Friday’s sold out Dixon Divas Benefit Concert as one of eight divas (who all gave wonderful performances!) alongside powerhouse and special guest, Dee Daniels. We collectively ‘raised the roof’ for women and children fleeing violence while also raising awareness about the Dixon Transition House.

I loved every minute of everyone’s performances in what turned out to be one of the most powerful, vulnerable and physically challenging performance of my life to date. For those of you that don’t know, 11 days prior to the concert, I had a serious fall which resulted in a concussion and a fractured collarbone. Though my head and body were bruised, my spirit and voice were not. So with a green light from my doctors and the incredible support of my husband and daughter, I went for it! I was astonished by the response of my fellow musicians and the wonderful audience and am so glad I did not allow fear to overshadow my strength. I gratefully take this healing experience forward through the remainder of my convalescence with a full heart.
Thanks for keeping in touch. Be well.
Love, light and music!
