CD Release Concert

'We are stardust....and we've got to get ourselves back to the garden....'My recent successful CD release concert of Contemplation at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, Oct 25th was truly an amazing and magical evening. It was the most powerful personal performance I have experienced in my career to date. I am still buzzing from it! And… we got a standing O! With a vibrant packed house of all ages from near and far, the intimate evening unfolded with ease in the ambient “Cultch” atmosphere. It was show time, complete with glowing full moon energy. I had worked for over three years to get to that moment and it was worth every second.
The release of a CD as an independent recording artist is an intensely absorbing process that requires passion, focus and a bit of madness! On this new project I took on the role of executive producer and with my friend Bill Runge as producer it became an incredible ride that was proudly launched, like a rocket.
The unexpected video clip featuring Paul Shaffer and I at the Quad recording Studio in New York was a big highlight. (As was
the actual experience of recording there) .We discussed my Father John McCullough’s musical role in Paul’s life in Thunder Bay and the back story to our coming together to record Moon River. Along with the playful duet with the knock out Vancouver vocalist Dave Steele, my exceptional band members and I offered a wide range of mellow grooves and breathtaking solos… that all too soon was over.

Thank you to each one that came to the concert, making it so memorable and to all that were there from across the miles. I welcome your ongoing support as I continue to watch this lovely unfolding process. Feel free to share your thoughts about the album.
